Its the last day of the year. Edinburgh is preparing itself for the biggest party of the year. The city is buzzing with tourists from all corners of the globe. They is still a small number of enquiries from people looking to book an apartment in edinburgh for the new year but most have already found accomodation. We are looking for lots of new landlords to come onto the site especially for the month of August , when the Festival is. There is usually a shortage of accomodation three months before August then just a week before there is an oversupply.

Only a few days till Hogmanay. Hooray. Apparently the most asked question in Edinburgh by American tourists is’ What time does the one o’clock gun go off’. The city is buzzing with excitement about New Year, as the street party will be big. Lots of people are renting Edinburgh Apartments. Advantages to staying in an Edinburgh self- catering apartment compared to a hotel are many. Firstly you can come and go as you please just like if you were staying in your own house. Secondly you have a kitchen filled with cups, cutlery, pots and pans which allows you to cook and have meals there. Third you have a lounge area giving you a good space to sit back and relax in after a day of sightseeing. Hotels usually only have a guest lounge, which is used by all guests, so available seating so not guaranteed.

Two days after Christmas. This is a quiet time for apartments in Edinburgh though there has been a few enquiries today for 2008. I had an enquiry today for New year 2008/2009 for a large 4 bedroom apartment with views out towards the castle. The apartment in question is the most popular on the website called the George IV Residence; it has four large bedrooms, two luxury bathrooms. This was booked one year before the New Year this year. To book it’s an easy process which just involves going to the site, choosing the apartment that suits and clicking book. In our office everyone had a very merry Christmas, the Boss John received a watch, Sandra D received perfume, boots voucher, cook book, pairs of slippers. Emma received perfume, clothes, necklace, DVD. Kevin received clothes.
